Laboratory for Vehicle and Mobility Concepts

Changes resulting from new vehicle technologies, new forms of use, legal requirements or social needs such as demographic change demand solutions for flexible multimodal mobility.

In cooperation with its partners, the laboratory develops solutions for real problems: micro-vehicles of micro-mobility, the mobility of mobility-impaired people or ideas for avoiding traffic congestion in inner cities.

  • Workstations (CATIA V5, Simplify3D, CarmakerPro, IPG Kinematics)
  • Rapid Prototyping FDM process (FFF 3D printing)
  • Mobile workstations (CATIA V5, Simplify3D, VectorCANoe, ArduinoIDE, Matlab/Simulink and various toolchains)
  • HIL test bench (Hardware in theLoop; for the testing of all-wheel drive chassis systems)
  • Test rig (roller test bench) for wheel hub motors/driving wheels of very small vehicles, including track simulation
  • Clay table with coordinate system for design concepts
