Laboratory for Vehicle Vibrations and Acoustics (NVH.Lab)

In recent years, the automotive industry has succeeded in further optimizing the noise emissions of modern vehicles. As a result of the overall quieter vehicles, other sources of noise are increasingly becoming the focus of attention. For this reason, the NVH.Lab of the TH Köln is not only a research and development partner of the vehicle manufacturers, but also works together with suppliers and producers of components and assemblies on the acoustic optimization of their products. We support development teams in acoustic issues or capacity shortages.

In our modules students receive a detailed overview of acoustic issues in the automotive industry and the associated solution methods. Within the framework of a practical task, every student is given the opportunity to learn how to use a modern acoustic measurement system within the framework of practical modules/internships.
